Welcome to Slide on Contact
Slide on Contact is an alliance of independent corporations united by a shared goal: creating memorable Faction Warfare experiences while building a community people genuinely enjoy being part of.
We believe the best stories in New Eden are created by pilots flying together. Through teamwork, leadership, and cooperation, we aim to create memorable fights, develop skilled pilots, and strengthen the Amarr war effort wherever we deploy.
Every corporation retains its own identity. The alliance exists to help each individual member achieve more together than they could alone.
Our Values
Behind every ship is a person. We build friendships that outlast killmails and support one another both inside and outside the game.
Ships are tools, not trophies. We'd rather create memorable fights than protect statistics.
Leadership exists to enable others. Good leaders create opportunities, remove obstacles, and help others succeed.
We achieve more together than we ever could alone. By sharing knowledge, fleets, logistics, and experience, every member becomes stronger.
EVE is a hobby. Family, health, education and careers always take priority.
Our Commitment
SLIDE exists to support its members, not control them.
Every corporation remains independent, retains its own culture and leadership, and contributes to the alliance in its own way.
Alliance Culture
Culture isn't something leadership creates. It's something every member builds through their actions every day.
Fly Together
SLIDE is built around flying together. Join fleets, invite others along, and create content whenever you can. The best memories in EVE are shared.
Leave It Better Than You Found It
Everyone can make the alliance stronger. Lead a fleet, answer a question, recruit a pilot, share intel, teach someone new, or simply be the person who gets others undocked.
Help Others Grow
Knowledge is one of the most valuable things we can share. Teach when you can, ask questions when you need to, and never stop improving. Every experienced pilot was once new.
Earn a Good Reputation
Treat allies, neutrals and enemies with respect. A good reputation is built one interaction at a time and reflects on every corporation in the alliance.
Member Expectations
Membership comes with a few simple expectations.
Be Active
Maintain an active presence within the alliance and contribute to the community whenever possible.
If you're taking a break from EVE, staying connected through Discord is encouraged. We understand that real life comes first, but remaining part of the community helps keep friendships and connections strong.
Support the Alliance
When able, assist with alliance objectives, fleets, and operations. We succeed through cooperation, not obligation.
Communicate
Communicate openly with fellow members, raise concerns early, and keep leadership informed of important developments.
Respect Others
Treat all alliance members with respect and good sportsmanship. Differences of opinion are expected, personal attacks are not.
Represent the Alliance Well
Your actions reflect on every corporation within SLIDE. Conduct yourself in a way that strengthens our reputation with allies, neutrals, and even our enemies.
Contribute
Every corporation and member has different strengths. Whether through recruiting, fleet commanding, logistics, industry, training, diplomacy, or simply showing up to fight, every member should contribute in their own way.
Fighting Together
SLIDE succeeds because we fight as one alliance, not as individuals. The following principles help us work together effectively.
Standing Fleet
An alliance standing fleet should be available whenever possible. It provides a place to share intel, form groups quickly, and encourage people to fly together.
Use Alliance Comms
Alliance voice comms are the default for alliance operations. Clear communication wins fights and keeps everyone working together.
Share Intel
Good intel benefits everyone. Report enemy movements, fleets, and opportunities clearly and promptly.
Answer the Call
Real life always comes first, but when you're available, we encourage members to support alliance pings, strategic objectives, and fellow alliance members in need.
Respect the Fleet Commander
Once a fleet is underway, the Fleet Commander's decisions take priority. Questions and feedback are always welcome after the operation, but unity during the fight is essential.
Fly the Doctrine
Alliance doctrines exist to maximise the effectiveness of the fleet. If you can't fly the doctrine, ask. There is often another way to contribute.
Learn Together
Every fleet is an opportunity to improve. We encourage constructive feedback, after action reports, and sharing knowledge so that every operation leaves us stronger than the last.
Leadership Structure
SLIDE is led by a team of experienced leaders drawn from across the alliance. Together, they are responsible for guiding the alliance, supporting its member corporations, and ensuring the long term success of our community.
Alliance Leaders
The Alliance Leaders are responsible for the overall direction of SLIDE. They provide strategic leadership, oversee alliance decisions, and work together to ensure the alliance remains true to its purpose and values.
Alliance Leadership Team
The Leadership Team supports the Alliance Leaders in the day to day running of the alliance. While individual responsibilities may evolve over time, every leader shares the same goal: helping the alliance and its members succeed.
How We Lead
Leadership within SLIDE is built on service, not status.
Our leaders are expected to:
- Lead by example.
- Support members.
- Put the interests of the alliance before personal gain.
- Encourage cooperation and resolve issues fairly.
- Help create opportunities for others to grow and lead.
Alliance Growth
The strength of SLIDE comes from both the pilots who join our member corporations and the corporations that choose to join our alliance.
Growth should never come at the expense of our culture. We value quality over quantity and seek people who want to build something together.
Pilot Recruitment
Recruitment is everyone's responsibility.
Every interaction with another pilot reflects on SLIDE. Be welcoming, answer questions, invite people to Discord and fleets and help them become part of the community.
We recruit for attitude first. Skills can be taught, but character cannot.
Corporation Recruitment
SLIDE welcomes corporations that share our values and want to contribute to the alliance.
Prospective corporations should:
- Share our vision for the alliance.
- Be active within the community.
- Be willing to work alongside other member corporations.
- Contribute to the alliance in ways that suit their strengths.
- Respect the independence of fellow member corporations.
Every corporation remains autonomous. Joining SLIDE is a commitment to cooperation, not control.
Joining the Alliance
Corporations interested in joining should:
- 01Speak with an Alliance Leader.
- 02Discuss expectations and goals.
- 03Spend time flying with the alliance where possible.
- 04Be approved by Alliance Leadership.
We believe successful partnerships are built on trust, not rushed decisions.
Diplomacy
SLIDE believes that a good reputation is one of our greatest strengths. Every interaction with another corporation, alliance, or militia reflects on all of us.
Represent the Alliance Well
Whether flying with allies, fighting enemies, or speaking in public channels, conduct yourself in a way that reflects positively on SLIDE. Respect costs nothing and is rarely forgotten.
Support Our Allies
Our allies are partners, not just names on a standings list. We honour our commitments, communicate openly, and work together towards shared objectives.
Resolve Issues Directly
Disagreements are inevitable. Whenever possible, issues should be handled calmly, respectfully, and through the appropriate leadership channels before they become larger problems.
Speak with One Voice
Official diplomatic discussions on behalf of SLIDE are conducted by Alliance Leadership. Members are always welcome to build friendships and relationships across New Eden, but alliance agreements, negotiations, and public positions are the responsibility of Alliance Leadership.
Build Long-Term Relationships
We value lasting partnerships over short-term gains.
Trust takes time to earn and moments to lose. We aim to leave every corporation, alliance, and coalition with a positive impression of who we are, regardless of whether we fly together or fight one another.
Alliance Policies
Fleet Pings
Alliance fleet pings are used to organise content and communicate important alliance activities.
Members are encouraged to respond when available, but participation is never mandatory. Real life always comes first.
Alliance pings are intended for alliance members and should be treated as confidential unless explicitly identified as coalition or public fleet pings.
SLIDE may also organise coalition, militia, or public fleets. These will be clearly identified in the fleet ping and may be shared as appropriate.
Only authorised members should send Militia wide pings.
Fleet Conduct
During alliance fleets, members are expected to follow the Fleet Commander's instructions, Be on alliance voice communications, and contribute positively to the operation.
Questions and feedback are encouraged after the fleet has concluded.
Loot & Salvage
Fleets run by SLIDE Fleet Commanders operate on a "first to the can" policy unless otherwise stated. If you scoop the loot after the engagement, it's yours.
Fleet discipline always takes priority over loot. Do not break anchor, chase wrecks, or otherwise ignore Fleet Commander instructions to collect loot while the fight is ongoing. Winning the engagement is worth far more than any individual wreck.
Once the field is secure and the Fleet Commander has given the all clear, loot is available on a first come, first served basis unless alternative instructions have been given.
Fleets run by Fleet Commanders outside the alliance may operate under different loot policies. Unless otherwise stated, assume that all loot and salvage belongs to the Fleet Commander.
Any alternative loot arrangements will be communicated before or during the operation.
Ship Replacement (SRP)
SLIDE operate Ship Replacement Program (SRP), which are specific to each corporation, depending on their priorities. For all fleets and activities, ship replacement may be offered at the discretion of Alliance Leadership, depending on the nature of the operation, available alliance funds and whether existing automated SRP functions have mitigated a loss. Our goal is to support members wherever possible while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the alliance.
AWOX Policy
SLIDE maintains a strict no AWOX policy. Members must not deliberately engage alliance members, coalition partners, or friendly militia pilots except:
- During mutually agreed activities such as training exercises or tournaments.
- When engaging known AWOXers or pilots actively acting against the interests of the Amarr militia.
- When authorised by the Fleet Commander or Alliance Leadership.
Any accidental incidents should be communicated openly and resolved quickly.
Seagull Policy
SLIDE believes Loyalty Points should be earned through contribution. We value cooperation over competition within the Amarr militia.
Members must not deliberately "seagull" friendly militia sites by entering solely to receive Loyalty Point rewards without contributing to the capture effort.
Repeat offenders may be treated as hostile and engaged at the discretion of the Fleet Commander or Alliance Leadership.
Coalition Participation
SLIDE is a proud member and leader within the wider Amarr coalition. We work alongside our coalition partners to strengthen the Amarr war effort through cooperation, mutual support, and shared objectives.
While we actively support coalition fleets and strategic operations whenever practical, SLIDE remains an independent alliance. Our leadership retains full responsibility for alliance decisions, priorities, and the wellbeing of our member corporations.
Participation in coalition activities is encouraged, but member corporations remain autonomous and, as always, real life comes first.
Alliance Decision Making
SLIDE is led collaboratively by the Alliance Leadership Team, who work together to discuss ideas, solve problems, and guide the direction of the alliance.
As the co-founders of SLIDE, Kara Corvinus and Stongtea are the alliance's final decision makers and are responsible for resolving matters where a final decision is required.
All members are encouraged to share ideas, raise concerns, and provide feedback with any member of Alliance Leadership. Open communication is essential to the continued success of the alliance
